Welcome Stranger, summer 13

“Welcome stranger” is inspired by the raw, simplistic illustrations in my favourite childhood storybook; The Paper-Flower Tree, by Jacqueline Ayer. Texture is the key and the look is fresh. Inspired by New Zealand designer Zambesi, the fabrics lead the design process. The silhouette is androgynous, relaxed and layered. Paper like, recyclable, Tyvek is the focus. Recycled materials also play an important role. The pieces are versatile and timeless.

Mens shorts summer 2012-13.

I have been making mens shorts to sell at a market for extra money over summer. The challenge is finding cheap fabrics and making a unique pair of shorts. They have been very well received.

the theme 'Bohemian' and was required to create a mood-board with colour palette, then create a figure drawing and design a lingerie ensemble for her; all in the space of 2 hours.
